OUR PHILOSOPHY

Genesis Learning Academy Childcare & Development Center (GLA) follows guidelines of the state of North Carolina and abides by the Division of Child Development rules and regulations, in addition to our own policies and procedures.

We are NC Licensed Child Care Facility.

Involving families in our program is a top priority. This helps build a partnership and help children make the connection between home and the Center.

The Purpose of Genesis Learning Academy is to be a premier childcare facility who focuses on a high functioning based curriculum and merging learning with engaging fun for all children.

Our Center seeks to provide an environment where parents can feel comfortable and secure leaving their children, knowing they will receive excellent care in their home away from home.

MISSION

The mission of Genesis Learning Academy Childcare & Development Center is to provide a safe, caring, and supportive learning development environment that would meet the needs of all children and parents.

Our Staff

Educational focus will be the success of our program. Therefore, We ensure that all of our staff are highly qualified professionals.

Our full-time Floating Teachers have at least an introductory course in Early Childhood Education and are required to pursue at least 12 additional credit hours.

GLA Afternoon Assistants have completed an introductory course in Early Childhood Education, and many continue to take courses.

Prior to employment, each staff member is carefully evaluated to ensure a good match with our program philosophy and goals to educate and care for our children.  This process includes an in-depth -step interview with the administrators, reference checks, observation of the applicant interacting with children in a classroom, input from staff about those interactions, and a criminal background check through the NC Division of Child Development and Early Education.

Caring for young children is a responsibility we take seriously. We are proud to care for children from infancy through school age. Our staff and teachers take great care to provide for their spiritual development in all areas of growth. Through Bible stories, interactive play, and outdoor activities, we work to jumpstart a child’s brain development. We work to partner with parents to nurture each child’s emotional, cognitive, physical and social development. In addition, we instill the knowledge and love of Jesus Christ in each child’s heart.
